2025/12/08
As part of joint humanitarian efforts to implement the project for relocating displaced families living along the seashore, AlFajr Palestinian Youth Association has launched the first phase of tent installation and preparation at the East Hamad Shelter Centre in Khan Younis Governorate.
This phase aims to prepare the centre to receive the first group of displaced families and relocate them from areas near the seashore, providing them with a safer and more stable shelter environment and improving their living conditions amid the difficult humanitarian situation.
The tents were provided through Qatari aid, while their installation and preparation are funded by the Middle East Children’s Alliance (MECA), reflecting the importance of coordinated partner efforts in strengthening the response to the needs of displaced families.
The ongoing work includes installing and organizing the tents within the centre according to approved field arrangements, in preparation for receiving the targeted families and ensuring an orderly relocation process.
AlFajr Palestinian Youth Association appreciates the support and contributions of all partners involved in implementing the project. The Association reaffirms its commitment to completing the remaining phases, expanding the centre’s capacity, and meeting the needs of more displaced families while preserving their dignity.
