As part of the preparation of its 2026–2027 Recovery Programme, Al-Fajr Palestinian Youth Association (FPYA) organized an expanded dialogue session with the participation of a distinguished group of academics and experts. The session aimed to discuss recovery priorities in the Gaza Strip and develop an integrated vision that responds to the community’s growing post-war needs.
The four-and-a-half-hour session featured in-depth discussions and intensive brainstorming. Participants exchanged perspectives and expertise on the most pressing current challenges and urgent needs across various sectors. They also discussed potential priorities and interventions to support recovery, strengthen the resilience of Palestinian communities, and help restore the essential foundations of daily life.
The session concluded with a set of practical recommendations covering several key areas. These recommendations are intended to guide future recovery programmes, improve the effectiveness of interventions, and ensure that they respond to the actual needs of affected groups and communities.
Participants emphasized the importance of complementarity and coordinated action among governmental, civil society, and international organizations. They also highlighted the need to involve academics, experts, and local communities in planning and implementing recovery pathways to ensure a comprehensive and sustainable response.
Al-Fajr Palestinian Youth Association firmly believes that constructive dialogue, knowledge sharing, and unified efforts are essential pillars for achieving sustainable recovery, restoring hope, strengthening the resilience of the Palestinian people, and paving the way for reconstruction and development.
