AlFajr Deploys 10 Waste Collection Carts to Serve New Displacement Areas in Khan Younis

In response to urgent humanitarian needs, AlFajr Palestinian Youth Association began operating 10 waste collection carts to collect and remove solid waste and clean newly established displacement areas in Khan Younis, with support from the Middle East Children’s Alliance (MECA).
The intervention covers the area extending from Hunein Street to Al-Hayya Street and from Al-Matahin Road to Jamil Wadi Roundabout and Tohoko Towers, in addition to displacement sites at Al-Quds Open University.
This intervention aims to reduce waste accumulation and the associated environmental and public health risks, improve cleanliness across displacement sites, and provide a safer environment for displaced families amid the severe humanitarian and living conditions in the Gaza Strip.
AlFajr Palestinian Youth Association continues to implement water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) interventions in cooperation with its partners to protect public health and strengthen the resilience of affected communities.
