Project Summary

AL Fajr Palestinian Youth Association (FPYA) continues implementing its drinking water distribution campaign for affected families across targeted areas of Khan Younis Governorate. As part of an ongoing humanitarian response, field teams provide 240 cups of drinking water daily to help meet essential needs and strengthen the resilience of vulnerable households facing challenging living conditions.

Project Details

Coverage Areas

The drinking water distribution campaign covers the following areas:

* From Al-Hayya Street in the north to Street 5 in the south.
* From Al-Rashid Street in the west to the Mills Area in the east.
* Rafah Garage, the city center, and the surrounding area of the Faculty of Education.
* The entire Al-Satar Al-Gharbi area and Al-Katiba neighborhood.
* Qatar Camp, east of Hamad City.
* Al-Fajr Camp, north of Hamad City.

The campaign is implemented through organized field teams responsible for filling and distributing water containers and cups at gathering points, displacement shelters, and densely populated locations. Distribution activities follow a daily schedule that ensures the regular delivery of water supplies to beneficiary families. Health and safety measures are observed throughout the process to minimize overcrowding and reduce unnecessary contact among beneficiaries.

This activity is funded and supported by the Middle East Children’s Alliance (MECA). The Palestinian Youth Dawn Association (FPYA) works closely with local authorities and field partners to ensure the effectiveness, continuity, and proper coordination of the distribution process.

Impact of the Intervention

The provision of daily drinking water contributes to:

* Meeting an immediate and essential need for displaced and affected families, particularly children and older persons.
* Reducing the risk of diseases associated with water shortages or the use of unsafe and contaminated water sources.
* Easing the burden on vulnerable households and enabling them to focus on other critical livelihood needs.
* Integrating complementary activities such as the distribution of sanitized water bottles, personal hygiene supplies, and awareness sessions on the safe use and storage of water.

### Acknowledgment and Appreciation
