Project Summary
AlFajr Palestinian Youth Association (FPYA), with generous funding from Wefaq Foundation and in cooperation with Al-Qarara Municipality, opened the “Wefaq” Shelter Centre in western Al-Mawasi, Al-Qarara. The centre includes 50 shelters and is equipped with an integrated solar energy and lighting system to provide affected families with a safer and more stable living environment.

Project Details
As part of ongoing humanitarian efforts to support affected and displaced families, Al-Fajr Palestinian Youth Association inaugurated the “Wefaq” Shelter Centre in western Al-Mawasi, Al-Qarara.
The centre was established with generous funding from Wefaq Foundation, in cooperation with Al-Qarara Municipality, and implemented by Al-Fajr Palestinian Youth Association.
The centre comprises 50 shelters prepared to accommodate beneficiary families. It has also been equipped with an integrated solar energy system and a lighting network to ensure a continuous supply of electricity and lighting, enhance safety, and improve living conditions throughout the site.
The project responds to the growing humanitarian needs in the area and contributes to meeting the essential needs of affected families while preserving their dignity and strengthening their resilience.
AlFajr Palestinian Youth Association reaffirms its commitment to continuing its humanitarian response, in cooperation with partner organisations and local authorities, to reach the most vulnerable families and provide them with safer and more dignified living conditions.
