Project Details

As part of ongoing humanitarian efforts to improve displacement sites and strengthen the resilience of affected families, Al-Fajr Palestinian Youth Association implemented the first phase of a project to replace worn-out tents at Al-Fajr (1) Shelter Centre, north of Hamad City.

The project was implemented in full coordination with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), with generous funding from the Government of the United Arab Emirates through its humanitarian initiative, “Operation Chivalrous Knight 3.”

During the first phase, 94 worn-out tents were replaced with new, more durable tents capable of providing greater protection. This intervention contributes to improving shelter conditions, providing safer and more appropriate accommodation, preserving the dignity of beneficiary families, and enhancing their temporary stability.

Al-Fajr Palestinian Youth Association confirmed that this intervention forms part of an integrated humanitarian plan implemented in coordination with OCHA. The plan aims to improve the shelter environment and enhance the quality of services provided to displaced families living in shelter centres.

The remaining phases of the project are scheduled to be implemented according to a defined timeline, helping to expand the humanitarian response, reach as many vulnerable families as possible, and provide them with safer and more dignified shelter conditions.
